Uniforms

Rocky Mount Prep prides itself on creating safe and presentable environments for all scholars. Wearing a clean and complete uniform sends two important messages: school is important, and appearance is important.

Elementary Uniforms K–5

  • Shirts: solid navy blue polo (short or long sleeve)
  • Bottoms: navy, black, or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers
  • Sweatshirts: solid navy blue

Middle School Uniforms 6–8

  • Shirts: solid royal blue polo (short or long sleeve)
  • Bottoms: navy, black, or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers
  • Sweatshirts: solid navy blue

High School Uniforms 9–12

  • Shirts: solid light blue polo (short or long sleeve)
  • Bottoms: navy, black, or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers
  • Sweatshirts: solid navy blue

General Dress Code Requirements

Shirts:

  • Scholars may wear only white short- or long-sleeve t-shirts under their polo shirts. We do not permit scholars to wear long-sleeve white t-shirts under short-sleeve polos.
  • We require girls to wear a polo shirt under sleeveless jumpers.
  • We do not permit visible shoulders or midriffs.
  • We require scholars to wear clean and appropriate-fitting shirts and keep them tucked in.

Bottoms:

  • We do not permit skirts or shorts that hang more than three inches above the knee.
  • Scholars may not wear plaid jumpers.
  • We do not allow tight-fitting shorts, sweat pants, jeggings, Spandex, or leggings worn as pants.
  • Bottoms must not have holes, rips, or tears.
  • Scholars must wear pants at the waistline and above the hips.

Outerwear:

  • We do not permit outerwear that is oversized or that has emblems, logos, stripes, or designs.
  • Scholars may wear solid-colored vests in the same color as their shirt colors.
  • We do not permit sunglasses to be worn in the building. This includes sunglasses placed on top of the head or hanging on shirts or pockets.
